ScanToExcel is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our service.

Data We Don't Store

We do NOT permanently store:

• Your uploaded receipt images
• Personal information extracted from receipts
• Generated Excel files
• User accounts or profiles (we don't require registration)

Data Processing

When you upload a receipt:

• The image is sent to Google's Gemini AI service for processing
• Gemini extracts the text and data from your receipt
• The extracted data is converted to an Excel file and sent to your browser
• After processing, the image and data are discarded from our servers

Note: While we don't store your data, Google's Gemini AI processes your images according to their privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.

Rate Limiting

We track your IP address temporarily to enforce our daily conversion limit (50 per day). This data is stored in a secure Redis database and is used solely for rate limiting purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website does not use cookies for tracking. We may implement analytics in the future to improve our service, and we'll update this policy accordingly.

Your Rights

Since we don't store your personal data, there's nothing to delete or export. Your receipt data exists only during the brief processing period and is automatically discarded afterward.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
