By accessing and using ScanToExcel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

ScanToExcel is a free online service that converts receipt images to Excel spreadsheets using AI technology. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Usage Limits and Fair Use

To keep the service free and available for everyone:

  • Each IP address is limited to 50 conversions per day
  • Users must not attempt to circumvent rate limits
  • Automated scraping or bulk processing without permission is prohibited
  • The service is for personal or business expense tracking, not for resale or redistribution

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Abuse or overload our servers
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the service
  • Upload content that violates others' rights or privacy
  • Use VPNs or proxies to circumvent rate limits

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your uploaded content. We do not claim ownership of your receipts or the generated Excel files. The ScanToExcel name, logo, and service are our intellectual property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ScanToExcel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • 100% accuracy in OCR results
  • Uninterrupted service availability
  • That the service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

ScanToExcel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to data loss or business interruption.

Future Paid Services

We may introduce premium features or paid plans in the future. If we do, we'll provide clear notice and terms for those services. The current free tier will remain available with its existing limits.

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We may also update these terms periodically, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the service for users who violate these terms or abuse the service.
