Can I use ScanToExcel for free
Yes. You get 5 conversions per day without an account. A free account keeps the same daily limit and adds batch uploads, larger files and email delivery. See the plans above for current limits.
What counts as one conversion
One image file or one PDF page counts as one conversion, on every plan. A 10-page PDF uses 10 conversions; three image files use three. In a batch, the conversions for all files are added together.
Which documents and files are supported
Receipts, invoices, bank and credit-card statements, paystubs, and tables. Upload JPG/JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, TIF/TIFF, WebP or PDF files.
Which formats can I export
All plans offer Excel, CSV, Word and JSON. Premium adds Xero CSV for receipts, invoices and statements, and QuickBooks CSV for bank and credit-card statements only.
What happens to my documents

Should I check the extracted data
Yes. OCR can make mistakes, especially with unclear scans or complex layouts. Review amounts, dates and rows against the original before using the output for bookkeeping.
