Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats are supported?
Currently, ScanToExcel supports receipt images and converts them to Excel format (.xlsx). We're working on adding CSV and PDF export options soon.
Can I use this for invoices or bank statements?
Right now, we're optimized for receipts, but support for invoices, bank statements, and other expense documents is in the pipeline and coming soon!
Is there a mobile app?
The website works on mobile browsers, and native camera support for mobile devices is currently in development. This will make it even easier to snap and convert receipts on the go.
Why is there a daily limit?
The 50 conversions per day limit helps prevent abuse and keeps the service free for everyone. We want to ensure fair access while managing our infrastructure costs.
Is my data secure?
Yes! We don't permanently store your receipt images. They're processed through Google's Gemini AI and then discarded. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Will there be paid plans?
We're keeping the service free for now! If we introduce premium features in the future, the basic service will remain free with the current daily limits.
What image quality do I need?
For best results, make sure your receipt is clearly visible, well-lit, and in focus. The AI can handle various lighting conditions, but clearer images produce better results.
Can I batch upload multiple receipts?
Currently, you process one receipt at a time. Batch processing is on our roadmap for future updates!
