  1. Added

Invoice line items now capture unit of measure

Invoices extracted by ScanToExcel now include a per-line `unit` field — "ea", "hr", "kg", "pk", whatever the invoice prints — preserved verbatim and visible in the Excel, CSV and Word outputs.

    Added
    • New `unit` column on every invoice line item, sitting between Qty and Unit price in the Excel/CSV/Word exports and included in the JSON output.
    • Units are captured exactly as written on the invoice — original casing and language preserved, never translated or normalized. Lines without a unit column simply emit a blank.
  2. Fixed

Reliable extraction for long bank & credit-card statements

Fixed a bug in the long-document extraction pipeline so multi-page bank and credit-card statements no longer drop transactions. Tested up to 20 pages long.

    Fixed
    • Bank and credit-card statements up to 20 pages long now extract reliably without dropped transactions.
  3. Pages

New comparison pages and a public Trustpilot profile

Easier to see how ScanToExcel stacks up against the competition, and easier to share your own experience.

    Added
    • Side-by-side comparison pages versus Dext, Docparser, Parseur, Hubdoc, AutoEntry, Rossum, ILovePDF, SmallPDF and Adobe Acrobat — features, pricing and accuracy at a glance.
    • Public Trustpilot review page — read existing reviews or leave your own.
  4. Legal

New refund policy page and expanded privacy policy

Tightened legal pages: a dedicated refund policy, a sub-processors disclosure section in the privacy policy, and minor terms-of-service cleanup.

    Added
    • Refund policy page — clear, fair & abuse-resistant rules: full refund within 7 days (14 days for EU consumers).
    • Sub-processors section in the privacy policy — a full table listing every third-party service provider that touches the application, with their purpose, processing location and a link to each provider's privacy policy.
    Changed
    • Minor cleanup on the terms-of-service page: removed the redundant refund line from the subscriptions section now that a dedicated refund policy exists.
  5. UI

Refreshed examples and clearer homepage layout

    Changed
    • Updated the example screenshots on the homepage and all tool sub-pages to reflect the v2 OCR engine and a wider range of use cases and document types.
    • Split "How ScanToExcel works" into two separate sections: "How ScanToExcel works" and "See ScanToExcel in action". Examples were hard to spot before.
  6. Release

v2 OCR engine + native Xero & QuickBooks exports

Biggest release yet. Back-end rewrite, two new output modes, document merging, and drop-in accounting exports.

    Added
    • Rebuilt back-end OCR engine — full rework of the extraction pipeline with measurable accuracy gains verified on the public /performance page.
    • Flat and non-flat output modes — pick a single-sheet flat table for analysis and merging, or a structure-preserving non-flat layout for archival fidelity.
    • Document merging — combine multiple receipts, invoices, bank statements or credit-card statements into one consolidated spreadsheet.
    • Native Xero & QuickBooks CSV exports for receipts, invoices, bank statements and credit-card statements — drop-in import with no manual column mapping.
    Changed
    • Refreshed converter landing page with new copy, layout and structure.
