Why Introduce Paid Tiers?

I want to be transparent with you. Running ScanToExcel costs money - servers, AI API costs, development time. I'm a single developer running this project, and without sustainable revenue, the service simply can't continue to exist.

But here's what I refuse to do: compromise on our values. Many services in this space make money by capturing your data, selling it, or plastering ads everywhere. That's not us.

By introducing a premium tier, we can keep the lights on while maintaining what makes ScanToExcel special: a generous free tier, complete privacy, and no data harvesting. The premium revenue allows us to keep the free tier generous and ad-free.

If you can afford Premium, you'll get some genuinely useful features while supporting the project. If you can't, no worries - the free tier isn't going anywhere, and it's still one of the most generous offerings in the document conversion space.
